Krum capped a perfect regular season in dominant fashion, rolling to a 49-0 shutout of Bonham last Friday in the regular-season finale. The Bobcats finish 9-0 overall and 6-0 in District 5-4A after having one September game canceled due to weather. Krum’s offense was explosive all year, scoring at least 42 points in five of its six district wins.
In the victory, Will Holland delivered three long touchdown runs of 56, 73 and 80 yards, while quarterback Elijah Guerrero added both a touchdown pass and a rushing score.
The Class 4A Division II Region II playoffs begin Friday, with Krum set to face Ferris, the fourth seed from District 6-4A, at Pennington Field in Bedford. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. Ferris enters the postseason 4-6 after clinching its berth with a 42-40 win over Wills Point last week.
In volleyball, the Lady Bobcats’ season came to a close after a strong playoff run that ended in the Class 4A Division II Region I semifinals. Krum earned an impressive win over No. 10-ranked Brock in the area round before falling to Canyon Randall. The Lady Bobcats wrapped up an excellent year at 24-17.
