There was little drama for Krum when it came to its next realignment home after the UIL released its classification cutoff numbers last week. The Bobcats will remain in Class 4A Division II.

Krum submitted a snapshot enrollment number of 795 students, comfortably within the UIL’s Class 4A Division II range of 550 to 895 students. The classification designation applies to football only.

Under the current alignment, Krum competes in District 5-4A for football alongside Sanger, Caddo Mills, Van Alstyne, Farmersville, Bonham and Gainesville. The Bobcats captured the district championship during the 2025 season.

All other varsity sports compete in District 7-4A with programs such as Springtown, Decatur, Bridgeport and Eagle Mountain.

The UIL is scheduled to announce new district alignments for all Krum athletic programs on Feb. 2, giving schools several weeks to prepare for potential changes.
