Lady Bobcats basketball opens play at the Weatherford Tournament beginning Monday, carrying momentum from a strong start to District 7-4A competition.
Krum enters tournament action with a 10-9 overall record and a perfect 2-0 mark in district play. Before the Christmas break, the Lady Bobcats edged Springtown 44-40 in the district opener on Dec. 16, then followed with a dominant 59-19 victory over Castleberry on Dec. 19. Krum set the tone early against Castleberry, building a commanding 23-2 lead by the end of the first quarter.
On the boys side, the Bobcats have wrapped up tournament play and will have just one game during the two-week holiday period. Krum hosts Scurry-Rosser on Tuesday afternoon. Prior to the break, the Bobcats posted a productive week, winning a tight contest against Gainesville, 67-65, before defeating Kennedale, 67-55.
Krum is currently ranked eighth in the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches Class 4A poll.
District 7-4A play resumes Saturday for both the Lady Bobcats and Bobcats, with matchups against Burkburnett.
