Basketball season is fully underway for both Krum programs, and each team is settling into its stride as the calendar turns toward a busy December.
The Bobcats are off to a 7–4 start after wrapping up tournament play in Decatur over the weekend. Though Krum opened slowly in Wise County, it closed strong with an 84–69 win over Argyle Liberty Christian. The Bobcats began the season with four straight victories before hitting a more balanced stretch, but they now return home with a chance to build momentum. Krum is off early this week before hosting back-to-back games. Richland on Thursday and district rival Sanger on Friday.
The Lady Bobcats sit at 7–7 following a productive finish in the Salado tournament. Krum capped the weekend with two victories, edging Franklin 51–48 before cruising past Elgin 52–25. The schedule toughens this week with a pair of road matchups: the Lady Bobcats head to Class 5A Grapevine on Tuesday and then travel north to face Wichita Falls Legacy on Friday.
Both squads look to use December to sharpen their identity as district play approaches.
