KRUM, Texas — Now that’s the way to start a new era for Krum football.

New head coach Chris Taber made his debut Friday on the road at Wills Point, and the Bobcats responded with a dominant 71-12 victory. The game was never in doubt as Krum’s offense hit its stride in every phase.

The Bobcats will look to carry that momentum into their home opener Friday against Fort Worth Western Hills. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

In volleyball, the Lady Bobcats competed over the weekend in the Callisburg tournament, recording notable wins over Lindale, Whitewright, Canton and Link before wrapping up play Saturday. They will travel to Lake Dallas on Tuesday before returning home Friday to face Peaster.

At the Nocona cross country meet last Wednesday, Krum’s boys finished second while the girls placed third.
