Senior Marlie Morris delivered a showing she will never forget last week at the District 7-4A track meet in Springtown.
Morris dominated, winning four events: the 100-meter hurdles, long jump, triple jump and pole vault. Senior Kassidy Forsyth claimed top honors in the 400- and 800-meter runs. Senior Kara Heckler captured the 300-meter hurdles. Finally, the girls 4×400 relay also took home the gold.
For the boys, senior Brian Dorgbetor won both the high jump and the 200-meter dash.
All competitors will advance to the area meet Thursday in Springtown with hopes of moving on to regionals.
Baseball is still locked in a tie for the fourth playoff spot in District 10-4A. The Bobcats split their series with Lake Dallas last week, winning 7-5 and losing 5-3.
Krum is 12-11-1 overall and 5-6 in district play.
The Bobcats play at Frisco Panther Creek on Tuesday and travel to winless Carrollton Ranchview on Friday. Saturday features a home non-district game against Kennedale.
It is the final week for softball, which is still tied with Aubrey for the fourth playoff spot. The Lady Bobcats are 15-9-2 overall and 3-5 in District 10-4A.
They play at Lake Dallas on Tuesday, then host Carrollton Ranchview on Friday before the season concludes.
