Krum softball is awaiting its fate for the Class 4A playoffs.
The Lady Bobcats are in a three-way tie for the final two playoff berths in District 10-4A with Aubrey and Frisco Panther Creek, all at 4-6. Krum is 16-10-2 overall.
The final week of the regular season included a 10-8 loss to Lake Dallas and a 15-0 win over Carrollton Ranchview. It is now a playoff play-in situation among the three teams. Details are available on the school website and social media.
Bobcat baseball is clinging to the fourth playoff position in District 10-4A entering the final week. Krum is 13-12-1 overall and 6-7 in district play, holding a one-game lead over Lake Dallas.
They played a Saturday non-district home game against Kennedale. This week, they host Frisco Panther Creek on Tuesday and travel to Lake Dallas on Friday.
At the area track meet last week in Springtown, Krum had several Region I qualifiers.
Champions included Kassidy Forsyth in the 400 and 800 meters, the girls 4×400 relay team, Marlie Morris in the 100-meter hurdles, high jump and pole vault, Kara Heckler in the triple jump, and Brian Dorgbetor in the high jump and 200 meters.
