Krum’s Marlie Morris continued her standout track season at the Class 4A Region I meet this past weekend in Lubbock.
Morris qualified for the UIL state meet in three events: the 100-meter hurdles, triple jump and long jump. Teammate Kate Heckler will also compete in Austin after qualifying in the triple jump and long jump.
Krum also received a strong performance from sophomore Cooper Spencer at the Class 4A boys state golf tournament last week in Austin. Spencer tied for 22nd at The Legends Golf Club on Lake LBJ with a two-day score of 7-over-par 151. He posted rounds of 76 and 75 and was one of four golfers to finish at that score. Spencer will return next season looking to make another run at state.
The Lady Bobcats softball season has concluded after a sweep by Godley in the Class 4A Division II Region II area round. Krum fell 7-0 and 8-4 after sweeping Bonham in the opening round the previous week. The Lady Bobcats finish the 2026 season with a 19-12-1 record.
