PARADISE, TX — One of the biggest matchups in District 10-3A continues Friday night as Paradise (15-4) faces Boyd (19-1) in Game 2 of their series, with first pitch set for 7:30 p.m. and the pregame show beginning at 7:00 p.m.
This comes just days after Paradise delivered a statement win, taking down previously undefeated Boyd in a 7-1 upset on Tuesday night.
The Panthers jumped on Boyd early in that matchup, scoring four runs in the first inning and controlling the game from the start. Kaden Hammonds led the way on the mound, holding the Yellowjackets scoreless through six innings and limiting them to just one run.
Boyd, ranked No. 1 in Class 3A entering that game, now looks to respond and avoid dropping the series, while Paradise has the opportunity to secure a major district statement with another win.
With momentum on one side and urgency on the other, Game 2 sets up as one of the most important district games of the season so far.
