
It is beginning to look like the good old days again for Malakoff football. The Tigers rolled past Eustace 56-0 last Thursday to improve to 4-3 and 2-1 in District 7-3A.
Malakoff’s offense has caught fire, surpassing 50 points in back-to-back games. The Tigers currently sit fourth in district standings with plenty of time left in the playoff chase.
They return home Friday for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff against Rains, which is 2-5 and 1-2 after a 66-21 loss to Winnsboro.
The Lady Tigers volleyball team has clinched a playoff berth and remains in contention for a share of the District 15-3A title. They enter the week 29-8 and 8-2, tied for second with Mineola.
Malakoff’s girls cross country team competes this week at the Region II meet in Arlington.
