Mildred Eagles Sports Update – 10/09/25

Mildred – The Mildred Eagles return from their bye week ready to begin District 8-2A play and the push for the postseason. Mildred went 4-1 in non-district action, learning from a 63-26 loss to Class 3A Division I power Palestine Westwood on Sept. 26.

Running back Trent Harris is expected to return after missing the Westwood game. Through four appearances, Harris has rushed for more than 750 yards and nine touchdowns.

The Eagles open district play Thursday at Frankston. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. The Indians are 5-0 and feature an explosive offense, scoring at least 39 points in every game this season.

The Lady Eagles volleyball team is 23-9 and led District 21-2A entering Tuesday’s match with Kerens. They travel to Cross Roads on Friday.

Mildred’s cross country teams also competed Wednesday at the District 21-2A meet in Hubbard.
