Mineral Wells – The Mineral Wells Rams opened District 3-4A play with a 49-28 road victory at Bridgeport, fueled by more than 500 yards of offense. Mineral Wells is 3-3 this season.

Converted quarterback Javon Jackson had a standout game, completing all seven pass attempts for 161 yards and two touchdowns while leading a rushing attack that piled up over 300 yards. Jordan Hicks ran for 150 yards and a score.
After a 21-21 halftime tie, the Rams took control with a 21-point third quarter. Mineral Wells faces a tough test Friday on the road at Brock. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. The Eagles are 6-0 after beating Eagle Mountain 41-13.

Lady Rams volleyball continues District 6-4A play this week with matches at Stephenville on Tuesday and at Brock on Friday.
