Winter weather prompted Mineral Wells athletics to adjust its basketball schedules this past week. Both boys and girls games originally set for Tuesday against Brownwood were moved to Wednesday.
Lady Rams basketball picked up their first District 6-4A win last Thursday, defeating Graham 44-37. That followed a 38-22 loss at Stephenville. Mineral Wells is 15-14 overall and 1-4 in district play. The Lady Rams face a tough week with No. 8 Brownwood at home Tuesday, followed by No. 3 Brock on Friday.
Boys basketball lost to Graham 56-32 last Thursday after an 85-36 defeat at Stephenville. The Rams are 12-14 overall and 0-3 in district play. They share the same schedule as the Lady Rams this week.
Lady Rams soccer defeated Eagle Mountain 2-1 last Thursday and are 4-4-1. They host Brownwood on Friday. The boys match against Western Hills was canceled last Friday. Mineral Wells boys soccer is 7-1 and travels to Wichita Falls Memorial Friday.
