The challenging stretch of football continues for the Mineral Wells Rams as they travel to Eagle Mountain on Friday night. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

The Rams enter the District 3-4A matchup 3-5 overall and 1-2 in district play, while the Knights stand at 7-2 and 2-1. Despite recent struggles, Mineral Wells still controls its playoff destiny regardless of Friday’s outcome.

The Rams will look to bounce back after a 42-0 loss to Graham last Thursday. The offense has hit a rough patch, managing just seven total points over the past two games against state powers Brock and Graham.

In cross country, the Mineral Wells boys team turned in a strong performance at the Class 4A Region I meet last week at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock. The Rams finished eighth out of 24 teams, placing three runners in the top 50. Junior Hudson Gadd led the way with a 37th-place finish, followed closely by senior Carlos Castillo in 38th.

On the volleyball court, the Lady Rams closed their 2025 season on a high note, earning a five-set win over Graham on Friday. Mineral Wells finished the year 11-24 overall and 1-9 in District 6-4A play.
