The Mineral Wells Rams soccer team is aiming to secure a playoff berth out of District 4-4A. The Rams are 10-4 overall and 2-3 in league play after a challenging week in which they dropped back-to-back 4-1 decisions to district leaders Bridgeport and Decatur. The remainder of the district schedule is more favorable, including a Friday matchup at Burkburnett, Mineral Wells’ only game this week.
The Lady Rams are 6-9-1 overall and 1-4 in district play. Last week, they split games with a win over Bridgeport and a loss to Decatur. Like the boys, the Lady Rams travel to Burkburnett Friday as they continue their pursuit of a playoff spot.
Mineral Wells basketball concluded its season Tuesday with a 56-43 loss to No. 24 and District 6-4A champion Brock. The Rams finished 12-21 overall and 0-10 in district play.
Next week, updates will include Mineral Wells softball and baseball, both of which started their seasons in the past two weeks.
