MINERAL WELLS, Texas — The 2025 football season begins Friday for the Rams, who enter the fall with momentum from last year’s playoff appearance.
Mineral Wells wrapped up fall camp last Thursday with its second scrimmage, against Springtown. The Rams will open at home in Ram Stadium with a 7:30 p.m. kickoff against the Fort Worth Polytechnic Parrots.
One of the key questions for head coach Cody Worrell’s team is at quarterback. Last year’s starter, Owen Gadd, graduated, but the Rams return 13 starters from their 7-4 campaign in 2024.
In volleyball, the Lady Rams played Tuesday at Graford and will compete in the Arlington Showcase from Thursday through Saturday. The team also participated in the Fort Worth ISD event last weekend.
Mineral Wells cross country teams ran last week at the Hillsboro Invitational and will compete Thursday in Midlothian.
