The math is simple for Lady Rams softball for the final week of the season. Win one of the remaining two games and they are heading to the playoffs.
Mineral Wells enters the week at 20-8 overall and 4-4 in District 6-4A. The Lady Rams enjoyed an impressive showing last week, beating Brownwood 5-2 and Glen Rose 19-9.
An interesting matchup is set for Tuesday as Mineral Wells hosts Stephenville. The Lady Rams and Honeybees are tied for third place. They then travel Friday to last-place Graham.
Baseball is 14-8-2 overall and 3-3 in District 6-4A entering the final two weeks of its season.
Last week, the Rams swept Graham, 10-1 and 7-4. They also beat Bushland in a Thursday non-district game, 13-3.
The series of truth comes this week against district leader Brock. The Rams play Tuesday at Brock and Friday in Mineral Wells.
At the District 6-4A track meet last week in Graham, Mineral Wells dominated the discus for both the boys and girls.
Javawn McKinney won on the boys side, and Mia Chavira won for the girls. Both will advance to the area meet Friday in Abilene.
