Lady Rams softball looked to use Friday’s game as a springboard for the remainder of the District 6-4A season. Mineral Wells fell to Stephenville, 16-11, in Erath County, following an 8-5 loss to Glen Rose last Tuesday. The Lady Rams are 16-7 overall and 1-3 in district play. The first half of district play closes Tuesday at home against Graham, with the second half starting Thursday at home against Brock, adjusted for Easter.

Rams baseball split their opening district series with Glen Rose last week, losing the opener 8-5 on Tuesday in Somerville County but bouncing back with a 4-2 victory Friday at home. Mineral Wells is now 10-6-1 overall and 1-1 in District 6-4A. The team also played a non-district home game Saturday against Springtown and has a home-and-home district series against Stephenville this week, Tuesday at Stephenville, Friday at home.

The Mineral Wells track teams compete Wednesday at Iowa Park. Last week at the Pojo Relays in Springtown, Javawn McKinney claimed first in the boys discus.
