
KELLER – The Paradise High School Lady Panthers turned in a dominating performance Monday night, thumping Trinity Leadership High School 79‑4 in a UIL Class 3A Division II girls bi‑district playoff game at Keller Fossil Ridge High School.
Paradise’s offensive firepower and aggressive defense overwhelmed the Lady Tigers from tip‑off, as the Lady Panthers jumped out to a quick lead and never looked back. The victory improved Paradise’s postseason record and advances the Lady Panthers into the area round of the state playoffs.
Junior Renlee Longenbaugh led the charge with 26 points and four 3‑pointers, helping fuel a 30‑0 run in the first quarter. Coach Michael Barnes praised his team’s preparation and execution, noting the intensity on both ends of the court and contributions from the bench.
Paradise (30‑4), which finished the regular season undefeated in district play, will now await the outcome of the Commerce‑Leonard matchup to determine its next playoff opponent.
Meanwhile, the Paradise Panthers boys basketball team remained in regular‑season action Tuesday, hosting the Valley View Eagles at Paradise High School. According to area schedules, the boys game was set to tip at 6:15 p.m., continuing the Panthers’ strong undefeated district run this season.
Paradise’s boys have been widely covered as one of the area’s competitive squads, and with a win Tuesday they would maintain momentum in district standings as the postseason draws near.
