Paradise – The second-ranked Paradise Panthers face their biggest challenge of the season Friday night when they host undefeated Peaster. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Panther Stadium.
Paradise is 6-1 overall and 3-0 in District 4-3A play, while Peaster is 6-0 and 2-0. The matchup could decide the district championship.
The Panthers rolled past Iowa Park 43-7 last week, fueled by a 24-point second quarter that gave them a 30-7 halftime lead. The Paradise defense allowed only 74 total yards, and the offense racked up more than 480.
Peaster enters off a bye week and has allowed only 48 points all season.
The Lady Panthers volleyball team is 24-11 overall and 5-3 in District 10-3A. They played Pilot Point on Tuesday and are closing in on a playoff berth.
At the District 10-3A cross country meet in Boyd last week, sophomore Allie McCormick and freshman Taryn Stoltz each earned top-10 finishes and qualified for the Region II meet.
