PARADISE, Texas — Paradise travels Friday to Millsap for a 7 p.m. kickoff. The Panthers are 2-1, while the Bulldogs are 1-2.

Paradise is coming off a 34-27 home loss to Eagle Mountain. The Knights scored on a 42-yard touchdown run with 30 seconds remaining to win. Paradise’s final offensive drive ended with an interception. The loss dropped the Panthers to No. 5 in the Texas Class 3A Division I poll.

Lady Panther volleyball started the week winners of eight of nine matches and 20-8 overall. District 10-3A play continued Tuesday at Ponder. Paradise travels to Pilot Point Friday after opening district play with a sweep of Callisburg.

Paradise boys and girls cross country teams ran Wednesday at Alvord. Last week, the girls won their division at the Haltom meet, with Allie McCormick and Taryn Stoltz finishing first and second.
