No. 2 Paradise boys basketball is pressing its campaign for the District 10-3A title. The Panthers began the week at 21-2 overall and 2-0 in league play, riding a four-game winning streak. Tuesday, Paradise played at Boyd Pilot Point and hosts Boyd Friday. Last week, the Panthers posted comfortable wins, opening district play with a 64-46 victory at Callisburg, followed by a 48-31 home win over No. 22 Ponder. Paradise trailed just 17-13 at halftime against Ponder but outscored the visitors 19-8 in the third quarter to pull away.
Lady Panthers continue to hold their No. 7 ranking in the state Class 3A poll, entering the week at 21-4 overall and 4-0 in District 10-3A. They follow the same schedule as the boys, facing Pilot Point Tuesday and Boyd Friday, which concludes the first half of the district season. Last week, Paradise posted a 93-17 blowout over Callisburg, equaling a season-high in points scored, before defeating Ponder 64-36.
