School officials were expected to meet Wednesday to determine a plan for Friday’s District 10-3A boys and girls basketball games amid forecasted winter weather. Travel concerns could impact the scheduled road games at Valley View. Fans are encouraged to monitor school websites and social media for official updates.

On the court, both Paradise programs continue to set the pace in District 10-3A. The Panthers remain ranked No. 2 in the Class 3A boys state poll, while the Lady Panthers are No. 7. Both teams sit alone in first place in district play.

Paradise boys basketball opened the week at 23-2 overall and 4-0 in league action, riding a six-game winning streak. Last week, the Panthers delivered decisive wins at Pilot Point, 55-20, and over Boyd, 85-38. All four district victories have come by margins of at least 17 points.

The Lady Panthers were equally dominant, starting the week at 23-4 overall and a perfect 6-0 in district play. Paradise rolled past Pilot Point, 81-11, and Boyd, 69-17, continuing an impressive run on both ends of the floor.
