The sixth-ranked Paradise Lady Panthers reached a major milestone Monday, recording their 30th win of the season. They opened the Class 3A Division II Region II playoffs with a dominant 79-4 rout of Trinity Leadership of Cedar Hill. The victory extended the Lady Panthers’ winning streak to 12 games and improved their record to 30-4 overall.
Paradise now advances to the area round to face Commerce. Commerce earned its playoff spot with a 40-22 win over Leonard Tuesday. The matchup is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Friday at McKinney Boyd High School.
The No. 2-ranked Paradise boys also surpassed the 30-win mark this week. They closed the regular season Tuesday with a 63-33 victory over Valley View, finishing 31-4 overall and 12-0 in District 10-3A play. Paradise will open its Class 3A Division II Region II playoff schedule next week. Fans are encouraged to follow the school website and social media accounts for updates.
