Paradise baseball is running the District 10-3A show after a dominant week, including a sweep of rival Boyd in the Battle of Highway 114. The Panthers won the first game in Boyd 7-1 on March 24, then blanked Boyd 10-0 at home last Friday. Paradise followed that up with a 24-3 rout of North Side of Fort Worth on Saturday. Paradise enters this week at 16-3 overall and 4-0 in district play, holding a two-game lead over Boyd and Ponder. The Panthers played a home doubleheader against Valley View on Tuesday ahead of the Easter holiday.
Lady Panthers softball remains a strong contender in the district, starting the week at 20-4-1 overall and 5-2 in District 10-3A. Paradise split last week’s games, falling 4-0 to district leader Boyd before bouncing back with an 18-0 victory over Callisburg. The Lady Panthers were scheduled to host Valley View Tuesday and Ponder Thursday, keeping them in a tie for second place with Whitesboro.
Boys and girls track teams are off this week as they prepare for the District 10-3A meet next week.
