Paradise athletics continues to excel across multiple sports as the spring season progresses.

Panthers baseball is closing in on a playoff berth, entering this week 18-3 overall and 6-0 in District 10-3A play. Paradise opened a series against Pilot Point on Tuesday on the road, with the return game set for Friday at home. The Panthers hold a two-game lead in the loss column over Boyd, Callisburg and Ponder. Last week, Paradise dominated Valley View with back-to-back shutouts, 13-0 and 9-0.

Lady Panthers softball is also in strong position, tied for second place with Whitesboro in district standings at 22-4-1 overall and 7-2 in league play. Paradise picked up wins over Valley View, 14-4, and Ponder, 11-4, last week. The team faced Wichita Falls Memorial in a non-district matchup Tuesday before a key district showdown against Whitesboro on Friday at home.

Paradise golf and tennis programs also made headlines. The boys golf team captured its second consecutive District 10-3A championship, while the girls team finished second. In tennis, the girls claimed a district title and the boys placed second. All teams will advance to Region II tournaments in East Texas next week.

Track and field athletes are currently competing in the District 10-3A meet, taking place Wednesday and Thursday in Whitesboro.
