Panther baseball has already clinched a playoff spot and is now charging toward locking up the District 10-3A championship.

Paradise began a series Tuesday with Callisburg, opening on the road, with Friday’s game set at home. The Panthers started the week at 21-3 overall and 8-0 in District 10-3A and had won 11 straight games.

Last week, Paradise defeated Pilot Point 8-1 and 12-0 and also beat Class 4A Springtown in a Saturday non-district game, 6-2.

Softball moved its game to Monday to avoid potential weather Tuesday and defeated Pilot Point, 11-1.

The Lady Panthers are 25-4-1 overall and 9-2 in District 10-3A. They will finish the regular season at home Saturday against district champion Boyd. The Lady Panthers have at least secured a share of second place.

Paradise boys and girls golf teams, along with the boys and girls tennis teams, are competing at Region II tournaments in East Texas this week.

The Paradise boys and girls track teams will also be well represented at the area meet Thursday in Whitesboro.
