Lady Panther softball opens the Class 3A postseason Thursday.
Paradise will face Keene in the first round of the Division II Region II playoffs. All games will be played at Castleberry High School. The doubleheader begins at 5 p.m., with a possible deciding third game scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Friday.
Paradise is 25-6-1 overall. The Lady Panthers lost to Boyd in the regular-season finale Monday, 8-0, and finished District 10-3A play at 9-3, tied for second with Whitesboro.
District champion baseball has moved its series with Whitesboro due to Tuesday’s rain.
The Panthers are 23-3 overall and 10-0 in District 10-3A. They are expected to face Village Tech out of Duncanville in the opening round of the Division II playoffs next week. Details for that matchup and the Whitesboro series will be available on the school website.
The Paradise girls golf team is heading to the Class 3A state tournament May 4-5 in Austin after finishing third at the Region II tournament last week in East Texas.
The boys team just missed a return trip, finishing sixth.
