Paradise Looks to Stay Perfect in District Showdown
The Paradise Panthers hit the road tonight for a district matchup against the Whitesboro Bearcats, with first pitch scheduled for 5:30 PM and pregame coverage beginning at 5:15 PM on NTX Varsity Sports.
Paradise enters the contest undefeated in district play at 11-0, firmly in control of their position as the postseason approaches. The Panthers have consistently found ways to win, combining strong pitching, disciplined at-bats, and timely execution to maintain their perfect record.
Whitesboro, currently sitting at 2-8 in district, finds themselves on the opposite end of the standings, but don’t let the record fool you. Late-season games like this often bring out a different level of urgency, especially with the chance to disrupt a top team’s momentum.
This matchup comes with a unique twist.
Originally scheduled for Tuesday, April 21, the game was postponed due to heavy rain and has been moved to Callisburg High School, where turf fields will allow play to continue. While Whitesboro remains the designated home team, both squads will have to travel, creating a neutral-site feel with just a slight edge in familiarity for the Bearcats.
For Paradise, the mission is simple: keep the momentum rolling and protect that unblemished district record. For Whitesboro, it’s an opportunity to make a statement and play spoiler against one of the hottest teams in the district.
With postseason implications continuing to take shape, every inning matters, and tonight’s game could play a role in how the district ultimately stacks up heading into the playoffs.
