The Ponder Lions finished the 2025 season 5-4 overall and 2-4 in District 3A-1 Region I District 4, placing fourth in league standings. Ponder opened strong with dominant wins over Venus (77-0), Gainesville (82-7) and Bonham (79-7) before district play challenged the Lions. The team’s offense tallied 390 points while the defense allowed 205 on the year. Senior Tyson Price led the team in rushing yards per game, and receiving leaders included Rece Faulkner and Terrize Mills. Ponder’s balanced attack showed flashes throughout the season.
