Springtown – The eighth-ranked Springtown Porcupines continue their perfect season and climb in the Class 4A Division I state poll. The Pines host Diamond Hill-Jarvis on Friday at Porcupine Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

Springtown is 7-0 overall and 3-0 in District 5-4A. Diamond Hill-Jarvis is 1-5 and 0-2. The Porcupines rolled past Eastern Hills 48-14 last week behind a career night from junior quarterback Kaine Hill, who threw for 425 yards and four touchdowns.

Receiver Christian Mendoza added 184 yards and two touchdown catches.

The No. 22 Lady Pines volleyball team has clinched a playoff berth. Springtown, now 36-9 and 8-3 in District 7-4A, swept Burkburnett on Tuesday and hosts Castleberry on Friday.

Both the boys and girls cross country teams are heading to regionals after finishing second and third, respectively, at the District 7-4A meet in Decatur. Sophomore Madelyn Walker won the girls individual title.
