
Pojo and Lady Pines basketball teams continued their District 7-4A campaigns Friday with a doubleheader at Eagle Mountain. Both programs are closing out the first half of the district season.
It has been a challenging stretch for both teams. Earlier in the week, Pojo boys fell 63-58 at Decatur, dropping to 5-15 overall and 1-3 in district play. Lady Pines faced No. 1 Decatur and were defeated 80-22. Both squads bounced back Friday with decisive wins over Castleberry, with the girls winning 77-2.
Soccer also remains strong for the programs. The Pines are 5-2 following a 1-0 victory at Graham Monday and a 4-2 win over THESA Saturday. Lady Pines are 5-1-1 after a 5-0 loss at Graham Monday. Both teams have a doubleheader Tuesday at Mineral Wells, facing North Hills Prep and Weatherford.
