Several Weatherford athletes are continuing their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level through recent signings and commitments.
On the boys basketball side, Aidan Pool signed with Schreiner University in Kerrville.
In baseball, right-handed pitcher Bryce Ward committed to Grayson College in Denison, while catcher Jett Vindiola signed with Kansas State of the Big 12 Conference.
Weatherford softball players also announced college destinations. Jada Martin signed with Austin College in Sherman, and Katie Chappell signed with Northeast Texas Community College in Mount Pleasant.
In girls soccer, Landree Cooper signed with Texas Wesleyan, while Addyson McElhaney signed with Lubbock Christian University.
Weatherford also announced a new cross country coach. Van Green was hired after spending the past two years as an assistant coach at Flower Mound.
