New Weatherford head football coach Marshall Williams has completed his coordinator hires for the 2026 season.

Weatherford’s new offensive coordinator is Kyle Westerberg, who spent the previous five seasons as head coach at Whitehouse. Westerberg guided Whitehouse to three playoff appearances during his tenure. He also previously served as offensive coordinator at Van Alstyne, Barbers Hill and Allen. The name is well known in Texas high school football circles, as he is the son of former Allen and Barbers Hill head coach Tom Westerberg.

The Kangaroos’ new defensive coordinator is Jacob Holley, who comes to Weatherford from Midlothian, where he coached the linebackers. Midlothian has been one of the area’s more successful programs in recent seasons, qualifying for the playoffs in each of the past five years while averaging more than nine wins per season.

That also wraps up the 2025-26 athletics season for Weatherford. The Kangaroos will begin competing in a new district alignment starting Aug. 1.
