The 16th-ranked Weatherford Lady Roos soccer team has clinched a playoff berth. Their bid for the District 3-6A title comes down to Tuesday when they host 12th-ranked Mansfield Lake Ridge. Both teams enter the match 15-1-2 overall. Lake Ridge leads the district at 9-0, while Weatherford is 7-1-1. The Lady Roos lost the first meeting 5-0. Last week, Weatherford defeated North Crowley, 3-1.
Weatherford boys soccer is winding down its season and plays the first of its final three games Tuesday at Lake Ridge.
The District 3-6A softball season also begins Tuesday for Weatherford. Lady Roos play at Crowley and host Mansfield Legacy Friday. Weatherford completed non-district tournaments and enters district play with an 8-8 record.
Weatherford baseball finished tournament play in San Antonio over the weekend with a 5-1 showing, moving its overall record to 7-5. The final tournament begins Thursday.
